Operating for over 35 years, ESPO is a public sector owned professional buying organisation (PBO), specialising in providing a wide range of goods and services to the public sector. Serving over 200,000 customers per year, they have a catalogue of over 27,000 products and 120 frameworks, and offer bespoke procurement services, advice and support.

Being 100% owned by the public sector means that any surplus made after recovering costs is returned to the public purse. With over 120 framework solutions ranging from advertising solutions, books, building supplies, confectionery and renewable energy solutions, customers can quickly source a wide range of compliant products and services.

Using a framework ensures that the whole buying process is compliant with EU and UK procurement legislation, with all suppliers listed having been assessed for financial stability, track record, experience, and professional ability.

Today, ESPO is one of the country’s largest PBOs, managed by six member authority councils: Leicestershire County Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, Norfolk County Council, Warwickshire County Council, and Peterborough City Council.
